It was almost daybreak when Andro finally came home to me.

But instead of waking me up with his cock in my ass or my mouth, like I’d imagined he would, the door flew open, and Louie practically carried Andro to the bed.

Without giving thought to the fact that I was completely naked, I jumped out of the bed and ran straight to him. “What’s wrong? Are you okay, Andro?” I turned to Louie. “What happened?”

“Cover yourself, omega,” Andro growled at me as he took slow steps toward the bed. “And I’m fine.”

I pulled the first pair of sweats I could find from the top of the hamper and stepped into them.

“He’s not fine, omega.” Louie was talking to me but also to his stubborn brother.

“Leave it alone, Lou.”

“Leave what alone?” I carefully crawled onto the bed beside Andro, horrified when I saw his whole right side was covered in bandages. “Please tell me what happened.” I brushed the hair from his face so I could look into his eyes.

Finally, Louie looked at me. “Your fucking brother shot him.”

My jaw and my gut dropped at the same time. “He what?”

“He just grazed me. Fucker’s a bad shot on a good day.” Andro tried lying on his uninjured side before he adjusted the pillow behind his back. He winced with every movement, and sweat dripped from his brow. “I’m glad you don’t like him, sweetheart. Because he’s fucking dead.”

“Which one? Richie?” He hated the Ferrini family the most, and he was a terrible shot. His kill shots tended to be a graze, if they weren’t a complete miss.

Andro merely grunted in response.

“What were you doing with my brother? Did he come after you?” If he wasn’t dead, I’d go after him myself. “Louie, get some food and first-aid supplies up here. Does he need stitches?”

“I’ll call the doctor to check him out. It was a clean shot, and we packed it before we left.” Louie pulled out his phone and walked away, giving me and Andro some privacy.

I cupped his cheek. “Did Richie come after you?”

Andro shook his head. “We went there to get your things. I thought maybe we’d play nice. He wasn’t having it. Pulled a gun before I could even ask to see your room. I’d say it’s safe to say your family isn’t happy about this.”

“I’m sorry.” I scooched closer, careful not to jostle the bed.

“It’s nothing, carñino. I’ve had worse. Though it’s been a while. I can’t say that I’m sorry about your brother, omega. I’d kill him again if I could.”

“Fuck my family. If this is what they do, then feel free to destroy them all.” The anger that coursed within me vibrated under my skin. How dare they try to take Andro from me.

Andro chuckled and pushed forward, pressing his lips to mine.

“Enough of that. The doctor will be up shortly,” Louie said as he walked back into the room.

Andro shot him a glare, and for a moment, I feared for my brother-in-law’s life.

“You’ll need to lie low for a few days, Andro.
